Producer Info: The Barbero Cioccolateria and Torroneria (Chocolate and Torrone shop) spanning seven generations, was birthed in the rugged commune of Mombercelli, Asti in Piedmont Italy by Melchiorre Barbero in 1883 now operated by his grandson, Giovanni. Their handcrafted, nutty nougat is celebrated as the most authentic in Italy with their seven-hour steaming technique and hand-picked raw ingredients. Traditional family recipes, innovation and passion. Nothing more, nothing less; just the perfect combination for success and one’s palate.
OUTER INGREDIENTS (55%): Extra dark chocolate (cocoa mass, sugar, cocoa butter, anhydrous butter, emulsifier: soy lecithin, natural vanilla flavouring. Minimum cocoa 50.2%).
FILLING INGREDIENTS (45%):
– BOERO: dark sugar (sucrose, glucose syrup, water), maraschino (alcohol, water, flavourings), 14% alcohol-treated cherry.
– NOCCIOLINO: 45% PGI Piedmont hazelnut, sugar, cocoa mass, cocoa butter, milk powder, emulsifier: soy lecithin, natural vanilla flavouring.
– LIMONCELLO: white chocolate (sugar, cocoa butter, whole milk powder, emulsifier: soy lecithin, natural vanilla flavouring), lemon honey, 5% lemon infusion (alcohol, lemon peel).
